To apply for membership you can download a membership-application-form and bring it to the office or you can  post, email or fax (09 232 5702) it through to us. This deal is for one payment of subs, there is an admin fee if you wish to pay off your sub.Maramarua Golf Club is half an hour from Manukau, you can enjoy the peace of the country while still being close to Auckland. If you are a competitive player Maramarua Golf Club membership give you a chance to play pennant games in the Auckland district and also to a wide range of other club  competitions.

Weekly Update 30/04/12

Did you know? More than 8400 sign up for NZ Golf Diners Club Credit Card – have you got yours yet? There are sign up forms in the clubhouse and the office. Here are some great benefits for joining up:

 - Firstly, when golfers sign up for the card Diners Club will make a $10.00 donation to their golf club for every approved account.

-The annual Card fee is waived until November 2013, as part of the member’s ongoing Golf Club Membership. Any Supplementary Cards added to the account for family members aged 18 years and over are also provided with the fee waived.

-Members also receive complimentary membership to the Club Rewards Programme where they earn one point for every $1 of purchase on the Card.

-Golfers can redeem Points of their choice of over 3,000 rewards including travel on any airline to any destination, gift cards and PGA Vouchers, golf equipment, charitable donations and more.

-Upgrade to Double Points is also available – Members can earn points twice as fast, with 2 Club Rewards Points for every $1 spent on the Card (a fee of $30 per Card every 6 months applies).

-In addition, every new Card Account receives a complimentary three month subscription to the New Zealand Golf Magazine.

Weekly Update 23/04/12

We had a great junior school holiday program with about 25 kids turning up to have a go at golf. Remember that we do have junior sized clubs that can be used if you want to bring some young ones along to golf. Junior after school coaching is on Tuesdays and runs between 3-5pm.

It was great to see such a fantastic turnout to the ANZAC Day tournament, 107 entrants spent a warm afternoon playing some great golf. Over a hundred jolly gamblers came along to the race night. A big thanks to all the supporters and the many volunteers who made the night a huge success and a great fun night. Another thanks must go to Murray with his magic race laptop and to Lyn for being such a great race caller yet again!

ANZAC Tournament 25/04/12

Come down on the 25th April for our annual ANZAC Day Tournament.

The tournament tees off with a shotgun start at 12pm and stick around afterwards for our fundraising Race night.

Make a day of it, play some golf and have some fun!

The tournament start sheet and race night ticket sales can be made through the office.

School holiday junior coaching

The golf coaching is underway – there is still time to book in for Friday.

 

We are having a two day junior holiday programme on April 19th and 20th April.

The price per day is $20 and lunch $10 per day.

Weekly Update 13/04/12

With daylight saving coming to an end on the 1st of April (that’s this Sunday!) club golf on Saturdays and Tuesday will be changing their starting times. From the 3rd of April Tuesday golf will be starting at 9:30 for the 18 holers and at 10:30am for the 9 holers, from the 7th April Saturday club golf will be starting from 8:30am.

We had a great weekend with the Pope Trophy and Beryl’s Bash on Saturday. Thank you all for turning up to support this event, we had 74 starters and made $1286.00. Well done Beryl for all your enthusiasm for our club. A few words from Beryl:

Thank you all for your support last Saturday and thank you to Gil for the kind words and I am not used to driving before waking up!? Thank you for the flowers they were a lovely surprise and greatly appreciated. I don’t think I’ll see another ‘0’ birthday with the golf club as I’ll either be in a rest home or at the funny farm!

The winners on the day were: Women’s: Sally Davidson 44, Maxine Rawnsley 43, Jean Hayr 39. Men’s: Shane Neueli 43, James Black 42, Norm York 42.

Put the date aside: – Wednesday 25th April (ANZAC DAY) is going to be action packed. The annual ANZAC Tournament starts at 12pm. This is a shotgun start, please put your name on the start sheet in the office. The kitchen will be open from 10:30 if you would like food before you play. As it is ANZAC Day we do request that you do not play before the tournament as it is a time of rememberance.

AND after the tournament we have the return of the Race Night. The first race starts at 5:30 and the last race should be about 8:30. The race books are $5 and dinner is $16 or you can buy a book and dinner for $20. Dinner will be between 5:30-7:30. We are selling horses in the office – get your name on one while they last. This is a great fun night whether you have short or long pockets!

School holidays are almost upon us and we have a two day junior programme running on the 19th and 20th of April. The cost is $20 per day and lunch is available to order for $10 per day. We do have junior sized clubs so if you know of a young one who may like to give golf a go, contact the office for more details.

Weekly Update 26/03/12

With daylight saving coming to an end on the 1st of April club golf on Saturdays and Tuesday will be changing their starting times. From the 3rd of April Tuesday golf will be starting at 9:30 for the 18 holers and at 10:30am for the 9 holers, from the 7th April Saturday club golf will be starting from 8:30am.

It’s nearly finished but there is still tree felling in progress, please be aware of any signs around the course and do not step over any taped areas.

Got your name in tomorrow for the Mixed Pope Trophy and Beryl’s Bash? We are still able to fit you in if you want to play, give us a quick call and we can slot you into a group. Tee off 8-10am, $10 entry for members and $25 for visitors. You can still enter the shoot out for the normal $2.00.

We had another great Midweek Open on Thursday, make sure you put the 26th April aside for the next one. Entry is only $20 with $2 for two’s and $3 for the men’s accumulator. Tee off is 9:30-12pm, you do not need a start time. If you haven’t given it a go yet – come on down and enjoy some golf and food afterwards. Don’t think your golf is good enough? The players this month had handicaps ranging from 6 – 35.6.
