To apply for membership you can download a membership-application-form and bring it to the office or you can  post, email or fax (09 232 5702) it through to us. This deal is for one payment of subs, there is an admin fee if you wish to pay off your sub.Maramarua Golf Club is half an hour from Manukau, you can enjoy the peace of the country while still being close to Auckland. If you are a competitive player Maramarua Golf Club membership give you a chance to play pennant games in the Auckland district and also to a wide range of other club  competitions.

We have a range of payment options to suit your needs, please see Claire, Barry or Sonia in the office. Conditions do apply for payment options and there is an administration charge

Just two more tournaments to go for 2011. If you haven’t got your name in for the Mixed Christmas Tournament this Saturday – give the office a call now to reserve your spot! Tee off is a shotgun start at 9:30am. There is also a start sheet in the office for the final Midweek of the year on Thurs 22^nd December (may be your last chance to win a ham for Christmas!)

Next Saturday 17^th December is the first round of the summer cup for men and will also be the men’s prizegiving – make sure you are there if you have won competitions during the year

Our ladies Christmas tournament was a great success on Tuesday with 3 of our ladies ending the year with great golf gusto. Sue Brice won with div 1 gross with 78, Avril Thomson won div 2 gross with 89 and Eleanor Lagan took out Div 3 gross with 93. Well done Ladies. Twelve clubs were represented and nearly a hundred entries.

We saw the sad passing of another life member this week. Orm Christopher was club captain in 76-77 and was President for 91-92. During his tenure as President he oversaw the building of the new Clubhouse and was an active member of the club and an overall good guy to have around. Orm’s funeral is taking place at 11am Friday 9^th December at the Hunua Presbyterian Church,Lockwood Rd, Hunua.

It’s just around the corner! The weekend of the 12th and 13th of November.

Two great days of competition with our annual 54 hole Tournament. You can download an entry form: 54 Entry form or pick one up from the shop or the bar.

With two divisions for men and one for women and a fun ‘winner takes all’ long drive competition.

A great challenging weekend of golf! See you there!

The AGM is being held at the Clubhouse on Saturday 3^rd December at 9am. Nomination forms are in the office and the latest they can be handed in is 5pm Saturday 19^th November. A reminder that members are requested not to play golf before/during the AGM, we would prefer your attendance at the meeting. A scramble will follow the meeting.

What a fantastic season for golf! The weather is mostly playing along and we have golf to suit all needs.

Twilight golf has started and will continue up till 21^st December, with a short Christmas break and starting back again on the 11^th Jan. Tee off is 4-6pm and you can play ambrose in a team or play your own card. Great value meals are available and you may even get to play with your greenkeeper (as long as you don’t talk about the course!) Bring a non golfer for a easy introduction to golf.

We are still taking entries for the 54 hole tournament next weekend. The format is 27 holes each day, 18 holes Saturday morning followed by 9 holes in the afternoon, then on Sunday the other 9 holes is played and after a break it is on to the final 18 holes. Entry is $70 and two’s for the weekend are $5.

There are Two Xmas Midweek Opens: Thursday 24^th November and an extra one on Thursday 22^nd December. There are start sheets for these two midweeks as they are very popular. Tee off times are 9:30 – 12pm and entry is $20.

PGG Wrightson (Stockies and Cockies) is having their Christmas Tournament on Friday 25^th November. There are posters up around the clubhouse, if you are interested in joining in please see Tim Detmar or enquire at the office. This is an ambrose event but if there is only one or two of you we can find a group for you.

We are running a 9 hole Ladies Xmas Tournament this year on Tuesday 29^th November and Our Women’s 18 Hole Xmas Tournament on Tuesday 6^th December.

The Fire Fundraising Day on Friday 2^nd December is a great community event supporting your local services. There are team and sponsorship options for this event. Tee off is at 12 noon.

And lastly we have our year end Mixed Christmas Tournament on Saturday 10^th December (your 2^nd to last chance to win a ham!)

Make sure you tell your golfing friends about our tournaments and bring them along to a few.
