Great to see our team win the Bone of Contention on the home course, well done to all that came down on Sunday.

We have been successful in getting a grant from Grassroots Trust to replace the reels on the greens mower, we are most appreciative off this as our mechanical pixies have done all they can.

The Board will be meeting approx every 2nd Wednesday of the month, if there is anything you would like brought up at the Board meeting please have this in before the meeting dates. Next meeting 11/07/18 6.30pm at the clubrooms.

The Board is in the process of making changes to the constitution to update the members rights and voting rights, these amendments will be presented for approval at the AGM in December.

– Clarification of financial members and voting rights as per Maramarua constitution and by-laws

6.5.1 Financial members are those persons accepted for membership who have paid up their membership fees in full provided that any payment of membership fees within 14 days of a general meeting shall not entitle the person to be considered as a financial member at that meeting.
6.5.2 Financial members are entitled to receive all relevant notices and papers and attend general meetings. Only those financial members with Full Member Rights are eligible to exercise a vote at general meetings and to stand for election as officers of the Club or serve on a sub-committee in a co-opted role.
Voting rights:
Yes: Full playing, Colts (19-23) life members, honorary members
No: Weekday, 9 hole, junior, over 35 member, under 35
The Special general meeting regarding the 9th and 10th tees took place on Saturday the June. The resolution was split into two parts: 9 hole and 10th Hole. The motion to change the 9th tee passed, the motion to change the 10th tee did not pass. The cards have been changed to reflect the 10th tee going back to a 350m par 4.

We can look forward to a few lovely sunny winter days this weekend – grab a friend and come golfing.

Resolution put forward by the Match Committee for the Special General meeting on Saturday 9th June to move the 9th and 10th tee blocks to new positions. The 9th tee block 330mtr par 4, 10th tee block 439mtr par 5.

There is a Special General meeting on Saturday 9th June at 8:30am regarding the placement of the men’s 9th & 10th tees.
