Weekly Update

Our AGM is coming up on the 2nd of December – nomination forms are available in the office and must be back to the office by 4pm Saturday 18th November. There are a range of positions available if you would like to lend your expertise to the Board of Maramarua Golf Club

Great to see some keen fitness folks utilising the clubhouse on Monday night for Maria’s weekly core strength and conditioning class – come on down Mondays nights for a 7pm class.

Come on down! Twilight golf is on every Wednesday 4-6pm tee off and $8 members and $10 visitors with the bar and kitchen available to refresh and nourish you after your round. It was great to see some hardy folks out in the wind on Wednesday and enjoying a great meal.

Have you got your entry in? Grab some mates and get your entry in for our annual 54 hole Tournament. $80 entry for two great days of golf.

It’s Back! The Toro Mower Challenge is running from 25th Sept to 3rd Dec. You could win a self propelled mower valued at $989. There are 3 handicap divisions – 8 and under, 8.1-18, 18.1 and over. Each week the player with the best stableford score in each division goes in to the weekly draw for a new Toro SmartStow mower. Sign up for free at www.toromowerchallenge.co.nz. The Board will be meeting approx every 4th Monday of the month, if there is anything you would like brought up at the Board meeting please have this in before the meeting dates. Next meeting 30/10/17

We are dog friendly after 1.30pm, bring your fur kids down and enjoy an afternoon of golf.

Local Rule
Abnormal Ground Conditions
There are large areas of the golf course ground is soft due to recent heavy rain and the following areas listed below a defined and declared as Ground Under Repair. A player with a ball known or virtually certain to be lost in one of the these areas can then proceed under Rule 25-1b.
Relief (nearest point of relief)
A ball dropped within one club-length of the nearest point of relief must first strike a part a part of the course at a spot that avoids interference by the condition and is not in a hazard and not on a putting green.

• The following fairways 3rd- 5th, 10th, 13th,15th – 18th
